skype mobile for pocket pc
I have been trying to use skype for pocket pc on my treo 700w for about a month now. I had very high expectations for this app and I downloaded and installed it within the first hour of me getting my phone.
Now once the honey moon is over I am terribly dissapointed with this particular application - it just refuses to perform on my Treo. I can get it to login to the skype network but after a few seconds of connectivity it just disconnects from the EVDO connect and sits silly and hogs my CPU cycles. I can’t figure out hom much of this problem is caused? by Verizon (trying to stifle skype usage on the treo’s) or how much is attributable to the Windows Mobile 5.0 OS. The reason I feel something has been sabotaged is that - I can surf endlessly without a drop in the EVDO using IE.
Does anyone have a hack to get EVDO to be permanently connected on the Treo 700w?
